Overview

tumblit uses artificial intelligence (AI) to enhance your productivity experience. This disclosure explains what AI features we offer, what data is sent to AI providers, and how your information is handled.

Key Point: When you use AI features, some of your data is sent to third-party AI providers to process your requests. This data leaves tumblit's servers.

AI Features in tumblit

We use AI for the following features:

AI Chatbot: Natural language conversation to help manage tasks, answer questions, and provide productivity suggestions
Smart Task Creation: AI-assisted task descriptions, subtasks, and category suggestions
Food Recognition: Photo-to-nutrition logging using image analysis
Task Extraction: Converting images of handwritten notes or whiteboards into tasks
Journal Insights: Mood and energy suggestions based on journal entries

Third-Party AI Providers

tumblit integrates with the following AI service providers:

Google Gemini (Default)

Used for chatbot conversations, task suggestions, and general AI assistance. Data sent includes your message content and relevant context.

Available for Premium users who provide their own API key. Used for advanced AI features.

What Data is Shared

When you use AI features, the following data may be sent to AI providers:

Your chat messages and questions
Task titles, descriptions, and categories (when using AI assistance)
Images you upload for analysis (food photos, handwritten notes)
Journal entries (when using AI mood suggestions)

What We Do NOT Share

Your account credentials or passwords
Your email address or personal identity
Your location data
Your contacts or people information
Payment or financial information

Data Retention by AI Providers

Each AI provider has their own data retention policies. We recommend reviewing their privacy policies (linked above) for details on how long they retain data and how it's used.

Note: Some providers may use anonymized data for model training. If this concerns you, consider using the BYOK (Bring Your Own Key) option with a provider that offers data processing agreements.

Your Choices

Don't use AI features: All AI features are optional. The core task management functionality works without AI.
Use BYOK: Premium users can use their own API keys, giving them direct control over their AI provider relationship.
Review before sending: AI features clearly indicate when data will be sent to AI providers.
